About CRA

We believe in protecting the best interests of our members. We will also represent our members as a unified voice of the industry to the government and to assist our members to prosper in their businesses.
Founded September 2007, our association is for every type of restaurant from mom-and-pops to cafeterias to franchises. Members of the CRA are professional restaurateurs and food service operators who provide and serve safe food in a quality manner.

Code of Ethics

Members of the CRA are professional restaurateurs and food service operators who provide and serve safe food in a quality manner while also providing outstanding customer service.

Our members will:

  • Regard our food service industry as an honorable profession;
  • Serve food in accordance with the highest standards of sanitation and in the best interests of their customers;
  • Conduct themselves and their businesses in a professional manner, guided by the highest level of integrity;
  • Strive to improve themselves and their employees in the latest food preparation and service techniques;
  • Recognize their responsibility to participate in activities that contribute to improving their communities;
  • Encourage new generations to pursue food preparation as a professional career through education and training;
  • Represent our foodservice industry, individual restaurants and businesses, their local chapters, and the Curaçao Restaurant Association by personally and professionally adhering to the above Code of Ethics;

Goals & Objectives

It is the objective of the association to promote in general the commercial interests of her members, some of it in the largest sense of the words. The association will try to reach this objective, by:

a. providing advice, guidance, instruction, courses and training in the areas of finances, economics, administration, public relation and organization in general and particularly, in the area of restaurant industry.
b. promoting cooperation between the restaurants and the exchange of information, ideas and plans in de area of of restaurant industry.
c. establishing and promoting the rules of conduct in order to avoid unfair competition.
d. developing activities that are directed towards maintaining and increasing the level of service in the restaurant industry in Curaçao in general.
e. making use of all other legally affordable means.

Tarzeno Circkens

Chairman

With 40 years of experience, Tarzeno is focused on driving results. Characterized by his passion for the industry and backed by his devotion to the island, he seeks to realize a unified platform representative of sustainable solutions for the sector. Co-founder of the CRA in 2007.

Wouter Michael

Vice-Chairman

Wouter has run large catering projects in the Netherlands for years, and 9 years as general manager of Cabana Beach. Since 2017, Wouter is a co-owner of de Heeren Restaurants Group.

John-Henry Every

Secretary

John-Henry is owner and Managing Director of well known franchise restaurants. Very experienced in the fast food industry and very known for his expertise in the business.

Irene Ponta da Costa

Treasurer

Irene is marketing director at a known hotel where she is involved not only with the hotel business, but also is involved with the marketing of the restaurant. Co-founder of the CRA in 2007.

Martin den Dulk

Member

Martin den Dulk is owner of a typical Caribbean restaurant. With over 35 years experience in the industry, he likes to share his expertise and is devoted to make things work inlight of common interest of the island. Co-founder of the CRA (2007) and first president of the board in 2007. In charge of communications.
